Visas Centrālās Baltijas valstis saskaras ar vienu un to pašu problēmu – gan sabiedrības, gan uzņēmumu aktivitātēm vajadzētu vairāk tikt balstītām ilgtspējīgos risinājumos, ņemot vērā to ietekmi uz apkārtējo vidi. “ChangeMakers” mērķis ir panākt, ka projekta ietvaros 250 skolēni vecumā no 15-17 gadiem izveido 50 jaunuzņēmumus (start-up) ar gataviem, ilgtspējīgos risinājumos balstītiem biznesa plāniem, kā risināt problēmsituācijas, ko iesnieguši projekta ietvaros uzrunāti uzņēmumi.

The project designed and implemented a functional and hands-on study module for upper secondary and vocational schools. As part of the project, 253 students were divided into international teams. They collaborated to establish 53 mini start-ups, each with a mission to address the environmental challenges presented by various businesses. These student-led start-ups featured a diverse range of innovative ideas, including tangible products, services, and digital solutions, all prioritizing the principles of circular economy and sustainability.
Creating these environmental challenges added significant cross-border value for each enterprise involved, with participating students gaining valuable multidimensional experience and enhancing their cross-cultural communication and teamwork skills within an international setting. Through a range of activities that involved collaboration with 18 enterprises throughout the Central Baltic area, students could gain valuable experience in cross-cultural communication and teamwork within an international setting and develop their creative and self-competence skills and social intelligence.
The project engaged ten schools across the CB area, with 16 teachers undergoing training to implement the module effectively. The study module was designed to support and enhance existing curriculums, focusing on sustainability, circular economy, and entrepreneurship. The module comprised high-quality eLearning resources covering key topics such as innovation management, prototyping, market research, and pitching, providing students with a comprehensive skill set to drive their entrepreneurial endeavors. The materials mentioned above are conveniently accessible on an open-access ePlatform, which can be utilized for educational purposes in the future.
All the Central Baltic countries face the same problem – the activities of both society and companies should be based on more sustainable solutions, taking into account their impact on the environment. The goal of “ChangeMakers” is for 250 students (age 15-17) to set up 50 start-ups with ready-made, sustainable solutions based on business plans to solve problem situations submitted by the companies addressed by the project.
