The number of RTU International Cooperation Department students last year is the highest in the 161-year history of the university. The number of students enrolled for the period from October 2022 to October 2023 is 5298, which was 938 more than year before.

This is double the number of students enrolled in the 2016-17 season, when a total of 2,353 students were successfully admitted.

For the 2022-2023 timeframe, most international students were admitted from Central and South Asia, as well as Central Europe—a total of 101 different countries. As a comparison, RTU welcomed students from 87 countries back in 2019.

The number of students from Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries has also increased. The OECD now brings together 38 of the world's most developed countries, including 22 EU Member States. In 2022-2023, 127 students were welcomed from Germany, 64 from Spain, 48 from Italy, and 18 from Baltic neighbour Lithuania.

The strong enrollment numbers signify that students recognize the value and high quality of an RTU education and its power to change lives. We’re at a moment where opportunity and preparation meet.
