The RTU Press is Committed to Science Publishing Excellence
The Riga Technical University Press is a leader in science and engineering publishing in Latvia. Its mission is to produce and deliver scientific literature to the students and faculties of RTU. It was established in 1965 as the publishing and printing department at the Riga Polytechnic Institute, and its major publishing language at the time was Russian. Now its major publishing languages are Latvian and English.
Today, the RTU Press is an autonomous department specializing in science publishing within the RTU structure and is under the direct supervision of the Vice-rector for Research. The RTU Press Regulation is strictly observed. It is professional and follows the best practices standard for academic publishing. Our staff editors of scientific and technical writings, design developers, and proof-readers are all well trained and capable of fulfilling a multiplicity of tasks as well as savvy about the latest technological developments and their application.
We publish annually approximately twelve scientific journals, twenty academic books & scientific monographs, one hundred promotional summaries, and about forty scholarly aides and materials for media and advertising distribution.
The new technology has enabled the RTU Press to publish for a wide, international audience. We use the latest e-platforms and tools, and apply digital and offset printing. We observe journal impact factors and citation score indexing as well as other metric factors.
We are open to new ideas and promote creativity. Our staff is united by mutual trust and committed to new ideas and academic excellence.
The RTU Press is a member of AEUP Association of European University Presses and CrossRef.
