RTU’s Young Architects Dream Projects on Show at Origo Shopping Centre

Until mid-March, the exhibition space «RTU and Origo Future Stop» will present the diploma works of young architects who have recently graduated from Riga Technical University (RTU). The collection of diploma theses covers a wide range of thematic and geographical issues.

Ukrainian chess grandmaster Vladimir Onischuk wins «RTU Open 2017»

Ukrainian chess grandmaster Vladimir Onischuk won the first place in the largest chess festival «RTU Open 2017», international master from Ukraine Sergey Pavlov won the second place, while Israeli chess player Tamir Nabaty ranked third. 655 chess players took part in the festival that concluded on Sunday, 13 August.

The largest chess festival in northern Europe «RTU Open 2017» launched

On Monday, August 7, at the International Exhibition Centre in Ķīpsala, the largest and one of the most prestigious international week-long chess festivals in Northern Europe «RTU Open 2017» was officially launched. Rector of Riga Technical University (RTU), Academician Leonīds Ribickis and the President of the Latvian Chess Federation and FIDE Baltic Zone President Āris Ozoliņš wished success to the participants. The Minister of Finance of Latvia, chess master Dana Reizniece-Ozola also extended her best wishes to all the participants of the chess festival.
