Riga Technical University, together with partners from France, Slovakia, Russia, and Vietnam, is organizing an international Summer School within the ESSENCE project.
The ESSENCE Summer School is dedicated to smart energy. It will take place from 5 till 28 July in online mode in the English language, involving approximately 90 students from 10 universities from Latvia, France, Slovakia, Russia, and Vietnam. The main challenge is to solve a multidisciplinary solar power engineering problem, using machine learning algorithms, Python programming and other methods and tools related to electric power engineering. The work will take place in the form of teams. Support will be provided with video lectures and online consultations of the leading ESSENCE specialists, a practical Python programming course as well as a mentor from RTU.
We are awaiting applications from students from power engineering, electrical engineering, IT, or other fields related to solar power engineering, at bachelor, master, and even doctoral levels. In conclusion, the teams will present their solutions to a jury of professionals. The best solutions will be awarded valuable prizes.
