«Career Day 2024» Brings Together More Than 2400 Students and 119 Companies

119 Latvian and international companies took part in «Career Day 2024».

119 Latvian and international companies from various sectors networked with students, young professionals, schoolchildren and others interested in internships or jobs at Riga Technical University's (RTU) «Career Day 2024», Latvia's largest professional development event. Companies from the information technology and computer programming sectors were the most sought-after for new colleagues.

Companies active in retail, manufacturing, construction, banking and financial management, aviation and passenger transport, chemicals, energy-related industries also participated in the event. For the first time, companies from the healthcare sector and shipping participated in the «Career Day».

Alongside the company activities, company representatives discussed job and career opportunities at stands and on the Friends' Stage. In the «Opportunities Room», activities prepared by the companies took place. Visitors also had the opportunity to take part in a face-to-face interview on «Job Tinder», a digital platform developed by the social enterprise «All Possibilities» to enable faster and more efficient meetings between employers and candidates.

The «Career Day» took place on 8 March at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre. Students of all Latvian higher education institutions, final year students and others were invited to attend the event to meet face-to-face with company representatives and make contacts valuable for career development.
