Act in Space 2020 Latvia

Act In Space is a 24hr non-stop hackathon format created by the CNES (French National Space Agency) and the ESA - European Space Agency that runs worldwide every 2 years. Each participating country organizes a national hackathon whose winner will participate in the international final. This Facebook event is dedicated for teams in Latvia who will have a chance to present their ideas in the global Act in Space finale.

Space Based solutions cover a wide spectrum of sectors -  healthcare, aerospace, AI, elecommunications, logistics, etc.

The Process:

• From November 13 - 14 participants will be solving challenges chosen from the global Act in Space list.
• Teams of 5 people each, will be mentored by different field experts with a goal to develop a prototype.

Challenges and registration.

Start at 18 PM on November 13th Riga, Latvia time.

Field experts in IT, Electronics, Environment surveillance, Business Development and Latvian Space Agency (LAIK) members. Also, there will be access to international experts from abroad. Names TBC.

Due to the global scope, event will be primarily held in English.

The Latvian edition hackathon is organized by Latvijas Investīciju un attīstības aģentūra - LIAA, Izglītības un zinātnes ministrija, LAIK - Latvijas Kosmosa Industrijas Asociācija. We are supported by European Regional Development Funding and RTU - Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte.
