Submission of books for sale

At RTU bookstore, we sell books published by RTU authors, supplied for sale by RTU organisational units, as well as we accept books from private individuals and legal persons who are interested to sell books at us. The process of accepting books for sales is described below.

RTU organisational units

To accept a book for sale from RTU organisational units:

• the respective organisational unit must issue a waybill on printing the book;
• the organisational unit must set the  desired price for selling one copy of the book (the book sales period is one year);
• the books must be in the accounting of materials of the organisational unit;
• the bookstore prepares an acceptance report .

Upon signing the acceptance report, the respective books may be delivered to 6 Azenes Street, Riga (RTU Student Service). It is recommended to submit books in small volumes (up to 20 pc.). If the demand is high, we will get in touch with the contact person provided in the acceptance report to agree on the additional deliveries of the book. When the validity of the acceptance report is about to expire, we will get in touch with the contact person to inform on the sale results, prepare the money transfer report and agree about sale or return of the remaining books.

Private individuals
To accept a book for sale from a private individual, the respective person:

• must be a performer of economic activity;
• must set the  desired price for selling one copy of the book (the book sales period is one year); 
• RTU prepares an agreement, coordinates it with the other party involved and accepts the books for sale.

Legal persons
To accept a book for sale from a legal person, the respective person: 

• Must contact the RTU bookstore;
• must set the  desired price for selling one copy of the book (the book sales period is one year); 
• RTU prepares an agreement, coordinates it with the other party involved and accepts the books for sale.
