The collaboration between RTU and CERN has been published in the Latvian Academy of Sciences YearBook 2020. It includes a short history of how this co-operation began and where it has led to as of the present day. An overview of the most recent and planned projects with CERN are described. The article also shows how RTU supports motivated Latvian students to have an opportunity to study and work at CERN and how the government of Latvia has been involved in this collaboration. To boost the particle physics and accelerator technology research in the Baltic region, the CERN Baltic Group has been established. A section about a developing joint study programme in the Baltic States is dedicated as well.
