Detector Technologies

RTU Center of High Energy Physics and Accelerator Technologies together with industry partners from Baltic Scientific Instruments and SAF Tehnika work together to participate in relevant CERN projects, where detector technologies play important role. One of them is the Crystal Clear Collaboration, studying radiation damage in scintillator materials for high-energy physics and medical applications. This opens a lot of opportunities for different industries to provide their expertise in arisen questions.

Baltic Scientific Instruments develops instruments for radiation detection and measurement. They have specialized in the development and fabrication of devices for spectrometric analysis based on semiconductor and scintillation radiation detectors.

SAF Tehnika has been working in the field of microwave data and Low latency, High Band transmission equipment manufacturing. The company has large experience in classical signal processing, implementation of error correction codes and encryption algorithms, as well as in development and implementation of interfaces, protocols and nodes of network devices.

RTU Center of High Energy Physics and Accelerator Technologies through the CERN National Contact Point in Latvia and the CERN Baltic Group is ready to cooperate with competent and motivated companies from the Baltic region.
