Pre-incubator provides support for business ideas of new or existing RTU students, promoting the launch of new commercial activities, providing support for the development and initial testing of a business idea. Business ideas may be applied for the pre-incubator by a student or team in which at least one representative studies at RTU. RTU IdeaLAB is implemented at two levels. First, training is provided focused on validating and testing the idea, improving the team work and identifying the common goal.
Following the joint training, teams present their solution. 20 teams receive support for implementation of their ideas – training, mentoring, individual coaching, product development opportunities at the RTU Design Factory and access to the support fund, which is over EUR 2500 per one team. Finally, teams present their results achieved during the season, the process map of the developed idea (attraction of investment, next support instrument, attraction of an industry partner, etc.).
