The competition is aimed at design & architecture students and young designers & architects based in Latvia and it is free of charge to enter. The winner (or the winning team) of the competition will receive a prize of 5,000 euros (before taxes). The winner takes responsibility for paying the taxes for the prize according to Latvian law, which classifies competition prizes as income. Participants are encouraged to use their submitted designs for personal portfolios or academic purposes, including final thesis submissions or routine projects throughout the academic year. English is the official language of the competition. The competition documents are provided in English. Competitors must submit their project in English. All texts inserted into the drawings must therefore be in English. The jury will work in English.
