In anticipation of the 155th Anniversary of RTU, the fifth – concluding – volume of the book «History of Higher Technical Education in Latvia» was published. It summarizes the speeches and congratulations at the RTU 150th Anniversary events on 13 and 14 October 2012, provides an insight into the history of university management, as well as biographies of RTU Honorary Members and short biographies of RPI / RTU lecturers. Former RTU rectors Egons Lavendelis and Ivars Knēts share memories of the time being in position of rector.
The book also contains information on extracurricular activities since the beginning of the university.
