RTU Scientific library will open its doors to readers at the beginning of the academic year

As of September 14, all service departments and branches of RTU Scientific Library will be open to readers. The 24-hour reading room will not be available for now.

Readers are welcomed at: Central Library at 5 Paula Valdena Street, entrance from the Zunda Channel; Subscription of Study Literature and Chemistry Branch Library – 3 Paula Valdena Street; Transport Branch Library at 8 Lauvas Street.

Central Library working hours: from Monday to Thursday 8.30 - 19.00; Fridays 8.30 - 17.00; Saturdays 9.00 – 15.00.

The library is open for users without acute respiratory infection symptoms and who have not been in contact with Covid-19 infected persons or their contact persons. Persons who are required to observe self-isolation are prohibited to visit the library.

When entering the library, all visitors must register on the visiting sheet. 

2 meter distance must be observed in the library. Work places for users are laid out with a 2 meter distance between them. Crowding should be avoided. Premises where safety measures cannot be observed will be closed.


Surface and hand disinfectants are available in the library rooms for individual use, at the service points organic glass protective barriers have been installed.
