1964 – the first project for construction of Ķīpsala study complex is drawn up at planning institute «Pilsētprojekts», project led by architect Jānis Vilciņš.
1965 – construction of the current building of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications (FET) is started at 12 Āzenes Street, Ķīpsala.
1968 – building of Riga Polytechnic Institute at 12 Āzenes Street is put into operation.
1975 – building at 18 Āzenes Street is put into operation (currently – building of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning (FAUP) at 6 Ķīpsalas Street).
1978 – building at 14 Āzenes Street is put into operation (currently – building of the Faculty of Materials Science and Applied Chemistry (FMSAC) at 3/7 Paula Valdena Street).
1979 – construction of swimming pool is started at Ķīpsala.
