Resolution «Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development» was adopted at the United Nations General Assembly on 25 September 2015.
It outlines joint actions that will be taken globally to eradicate poverty and reach sustainable development by 2030. The new agenda was built on the Millennium Development Goals that were adopted in 2000. It is the first global agreement that stipulates general and comprehensive actions including 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SGD) and 169 associated targets. These goals are integrated and indivisible and balance the three dimensions of sustainable development: the economic, social and environmental.
