On October 10-11, Baltic University Program representatives (BUP) from RTU, University of Tallinn, Södertorn University, Technical University of Lodz, Kaunas University of Technologies, Agricultural University in Nitra, Åbo Akademi University, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, National University of Lviv, and Zittau/ Görlitz University assembled at RTU to review what has been done so far; and to outline future cooperation strategies, opportunities, and future projects.

BUP is a lively network and one of the largest university cooperation programs in the world. About 100 universities of the Baltic Sea region are active participants and cooperate with each other in the fields of education, research, and sustainable development.

The Baltic University Program is looking for new ways to strengthen the interaction between university bodies and society. The main objective of the program is not only to build and maintain strong regional education and research communities, but to also promote greater awareness of their areas of activity.

BUP representative meetings are held on an annual basis and RTU is the presiding representative this year.
