Student service

The goal of RTU Student Service is to provide centralised services to students. The Student Service opened its doors to students on 1 September 2014. Every year it extends the range of the provided services, in order to make the daily life at the university more convenient and services more accessible. Its chief tasks are:

• To provide general information on RTU organisational units, their location and contact information;
• To listen to and summarise proposals and complaints of students and submit them to the relevant organisational units;
• To prepare and issue RTU enrolment certificates;
• To prepare, issue and ensure extension of the validity period for ID cards of employees and students, etc.

RTU Student ID card

The only document confirming the student’s status at Riga Technical University is RTU ID card. Simultaneously, it is used as an electronic door key (electronic door locks are used at several faculties of the university and its regional centres).

International Student Identity Card

It is the only international card for pupils, students and teachers which serves as its owner’s identity document all over the world, as well as offers the widest range of discounts in the world with more than 550 discounts in Latvia and 40 000 discounts in 120 countries of the world!
