Short Bio:
Baiba Vērpe received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Architecture from Riga Technical University, Faculty of Architecture (RTU AF) in 2008 and 2016, respectively. In 2023 she received her Doctor of Science degree, defending the thesis "Evolution of Resort Architecture in Jūrmala", supervisor Dr. habil. arch. Dr. Jānis Krastiņš.
Since 2017 she has been a research assistant and since 2020 a lecturer at RTU AF. She is the author of several scientific articles and articles in the popular architectural press. Baiba Vērpe is an active member of DOCOMOMO Latvia.
