Riga Technical University (RTU) announces an Excellence Grant for young scientists to support them in starting a researcher’s career and to develop research into new, internationally significant, perspective and highly global innovative science field.
Submission deadline – April 9.
To apply for the grant applicant must have a Doctoral Degree or equivalent degree and research project must be related to the field of engineering sciences and technologies, natural sciences or humanities and social sciences. The h-index of the applicant must be at least 10, and he/she must have a certain number of publications in the major international scientific multi-disciplinary journals, he/she must also meet other criteria specified in the grant regulations.
Grant is awarded for implementation of a research project, which includes not only research activities but also attraction of funding, establishment of self-financed research group or research unit, and participation in study process.
As a result of the project, within three years four articles must be published and two articles submitted for publication in journals indexed in SCOPUS or Web of Science or two international patents must be granted, as well as funding attracted in the amount of 210 000 EUR, including international projects, as well as three PhD students supervised.
