Today, on October 3, 2011 Rector, Academician Leonids Ribickis will sign an agreement with Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (Moscow) and Rector, Professor Dr.oec. Viktor I. Grishin will be represented by Professor Irina Vladimirova, the Deputy Head of Department of Project and Program Management (previous: Department of City Planning Economics and Management) of Faculty of Engineering Economics. An agreement will be signed in the presence of Professor, Director of the Institute of Building Entrepreneurship and Real Estate Economics Ineta Geipele as well as in the presence Ivan Potravniy, professor of Department of Project and Program Management of Faculty of Engineering Economics and other representatives of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (PRUE) dates back to 1907 when the Commercial Institute of the Moscow Society for Spreading Commercial Education was opened and then in 1919 it was renamed as Moscow Plekhanov Institute of National Economy. In 1991 it became Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics and in 2010 it obtained the status of a University. At present, the number of students at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics is over 13 000 at least in 30 specialities. In more than 100 year activity work University has prepared 150 000 professionals for different branches of national economy, management fields and science.
At the University are established and works scientific schools, which makes a scientific substantiation for both fundamental, and applied problem solutions in socioeconomic and technological development in Russia.
In summer, there was also concluded an Agreement between RTU (Institute of Building Entrepreneurship and Real Estate Economics of the Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management (IBEREE FEEM)) and Lugansk State Institute of Housing - Communal Services and Construction. Rector of this Institute (Ukraine) Nicolay D. Andriychuk will meet RTU Rector, Academician Leonids Ribickis on October 4, 2011.
Lugansk State Institute of Housing - Communal Services and Construction runs their activity already 15 years and ensures preparation of new professionals as well as improvement of qualification of current professionals in the field of Housing - Communal Services and Construction in Lugansk and in whole Eastern Ukraine region. The Institute prepare construction and hydraulic engineering professionals as well as specialists with qualification in industry and civil construction; housing management and administration for municipal enterprises, as well as in heat supply and ventilation.
As told professor, director of the IBEREE Ineta Geipele, cooperation with Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and Ukraine Lugansk State Institute of Housing - Communal Services and Construction is planned in several directions – in building entrepreneurship and real estate engineering economics, management and administration fields, in exchange of students and academic stuff as well as in exchange of common research projects and exchange of mutual scientific information, in consultative work, etc.
As one of the most successful examples of international cooperation can be mentioned agreement memorandum with Eastern Europe Housing Construction and Development Union of Germany and Berlin Technical University which allow students of IBEREE not only to get a practical placement abroad but also allow to get introduced with latest scientific achievements in building entrepreneurship, power industry, renewable resources and in the real estate field , attending seminars of German colleagues not only in Germany, but also here, in Latvia.
Within the framework of concluded cooperation, already on the next day, on October 4, 2011 – Russian and Ukraine scientists will perform with their scientific papers in annual 52th Riga Technical University Conference SCEE’2011 «Scientific Conference on Economics and Entrepreneurship», in subsection «Real Estate Economics and building entrepreneurship».
