Delegation visited RTU Design Factory and the Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering where Professor Toms Torims talked about development of RTU and CERN joint scientific projects.

«This delegation consists of people who make financially and politically important decisions. It is an opportunity to demonstrate to the representatives of the European Commission our strengths and talk with them about the challenges that can be overcome with the help of this institution,» emphasises Professor Toms Torims.

The informational visit of the EC representatives to Latvia took place from October 2 to October 4. During the visit, the guests were introduced to Latvian culture, achievements in science, current events of the state administration and socio-economic situation.

This was the fourth such visit to Latvia. Previously EC representatives visited Latvia in 2007, 2014 and 2016.
