Conference «Building a Culture of Academic Integrity in Education» organized within the framework of Erasmus+ project «European Network for Academic Integrity» will take place on Wednesday, October 17 from 09:00 until 17:30 in the Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering of Riga Technical University.
Leading academic integrity experts from 12 countries will participate in the conference – Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and the United Kingdom. Conference will have one main session «Academic Integrity in Medicine», four seminars, as well as panel discussion, which will cover topical issues in the field of academic integrity.
The special guest of the conference is Andrey Rostovtsev – co-founder of a volunteer community network «Dissernet». This organization is actively fighting against breach of academic integrity in scientific theses in Russia.
Director of Study Department Ilze Birzniece and Deputy Dean for Studies at Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Associate Professor Alla Anohina-Naumeca will represent Riga Technical University with reports at the conference.
Students, academic, scientific and administrative staff of higher education institutions, schoolchildren and their parents, pedagogical and administrative staff of secondary schools, representatives of student associations and state institutions, as well as anyone interested are invited to attend the conference.
