Academic integrity week explains plagiarism and calls for ethical behaviour

October 21 is the Global Ethics Day and International Day of Action against Contract Cheating. Riga Technical University engages in Academic Integrity Week and invites students and teachers during the Academic integrity week to discuss plagiarism and ethical behaviour in academic environment.

Foreign students are especially welcomed to join the online seminar «Academic Integrity: How It Works @ RTU» on October 20 at 14:30. Director of the Study Department Ilze Birzniece will present the RTU principles in the field of academic integrity and help to understand how to avoid academic misconduct.

Academic staff and students are invited to participate at webinars organized by the European Network of Academic Integrity, a member of which is RTU.

Another event on October 21 is the e-presentation of the issue Glossary for Academic Integrity and General Guidelines for Academic Integrity in Latvian. This book is an extended result of the project «European Network for Academic Integrity» output, funded under Erasmus Plus, Strategic Partnerships (agreement No. 016-1- CZ01-KA203-023949). Throughout the week, academic integrity related activities held by RTU student parliament are also taking place in social networks. Follow and help fight against contract cheating and plagiarism!
