RTU is inviting to the guest lecture «Chile and Astronomy» on 15th of November at 16.00 in the Faculty of Architecture, room 115.

If you are passionate about the astronomy and telescopes, you are kindly invited to attend the guest lecture «Chile and Astronomy» held by the Dr. Eduardo Unda-Sanzana, Executive Director of Chilean Astronomy Society (SOCHIAS).

In his lecture, Dr. Unda-Sanzana, will briefly introduce with the astronomy research in Atacama desert, where several world largest telescopes are located, and then will deliver an deeper insight into the largest observatories and Astronomy centers, various telescopes (VLT-Very Large telescope, GMT – Giant Magellan Telescope) and its technical details and possibilities, telescope access and Instrumentation Labs, current and future astronomy projects. Furthermore he will also give an overview of scientific collaboration opportunities and available funding for researchers in Chile.
