The goal of activities of the Innovative Product Development Unit of the Science and Innovation Centre is to effectively create innovative high added value products, as well as to research and improve existing products and services, thereby contributing significantly to the development of Latvia's innovation ecosystem and reaching the RTU valorisation goals.
The Innovative Product Development Unit works with doctoral students, researchers, scientists and commercial clients – industry.
A team of highly-qualified engineers of the unit provides consultations and technical support to other organisational units of RTU in issues of industrial design, electronics, mechatronics, industrial engineering, prototyping and manufacturing.
