Riga Technical University has been a partner of the Knowledge and Innovation Community of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) – EIT Climate-KIC since 2016.
The participation of RTU in the EIT Climate-KIC provides opportunities for Latvian students, scientists, startups and professionals in different areas to develop entrepreneurial skills while creating solutions to reduce climate change. This way RTU strengthens climate-friendly entrepreneurship and green technology development in Latvia.
The EIT Climate-KIC programmes in Latvia are organised by the Innovation Ecosystem Development Unit of RTU Science and Innovation Centre. These programmes are implemented in two directions – entrepreneurship support and educational programmes. EIT Climate-KIC HUB Latvia also organise various activities focused on strengthening and networking the innovation community.
