Summer School «Intensive English»

The English Language Intensive Summer School has been designed to develop participant’s English language knowledge, improve communication skills and grammatical accuracy of speech. The course is provided by native speakers and professional academic staff of Riga Technical University, Institute of Applied Linguistics.

International RTU environment is a perfect place to study the English Language. Staying abroad for three weeks will encourage participants to speak English as it might be the only language you will able to communicate with other students and locals.

RTU Intensive English Summer School is designed to keep the main focus on the active learning of the language allowing for rapid progress of communication skills.


Every morning participants will have English lessons (20 hours per week) with our experienced and qualified native English speaking lecturers. In the afternoon summer school students will participate in fun activities to practice their English socially. These include sports, cultural and entertainment activities.

Combined with sports, activity-packed afternoons and entertaining evenings, you are sure to pick up the language fast and make new friends in the process!

Learning outcomes:
Improve your all-round English language ability and develop your fluency and communication.
Practise the English language through discussions, debates and conversation activities.
Gain confidence and skills you need to communicate in the day-to-day work.
Study Credits
RTU Certificates and 4.5 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credit points will be awarded upon completion of the program.
