Students are Invited to Explore Innovation and Research Commercialisation in an Online Seminar Series «Impact Series»

5th of April

RTU Science and Innovation Centre invites students from all fields of study to join the «INNOV-8-2-CREATE» project «Impact series», which will start on 9 April. The «Impact Series» consists of seven exciting episodes, taking you on a journey through the world of innovation and providing valuable insights to help you discover the commercial potential of your research.

The series of workshops will be held on the «Zoom» online platform, will be 1.5 hours long and will start at 14.00.

Participants in all seven series will explore a variety of topics including research impact, funding strategies, intellectual property policies and effective ways to market the commercial opportunities of your product or service to a wider audience. Practical examples from entrepreneurs who have successfully developed start-ups by capitalising on their research will also be included.

The seventh and final series will be a face-to-face workshop where participants will be able to apply the knowledge they have gained directly to their own research projects.

RTU invites students to attend all «Impact Series» workshops. After attending at least five sessions, participants will receive a diploma certifying their knowledge.

«INNOV-8-2-CREATE» is a project of the European Union (EU) research and innovation support programme Horizon 2020. It is implemented by four partners: the University of Galway (Ireland), RTU, the University of Turin (Italy) and ASTP (the Netherlands). The project aims to develop a coherent, inclusive and efficient innovation ecosystem in Europe. The project runs for two years (until 2025), bringing together innovation stakeholders, fostering knowledge exchange at local, regional and international level.
