RTU Cooperation with Employers Has Received the Highest Assessment in the QS ECCA 2022 Ranking

Riga Technical University (RTU) has retained the 57th position compared to last year in the international ranking QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia (ECCA) 2022, in a number of criteria, for example, employer reputation, experiencing growth compared to the previous year. ECCA is a regional European and Central Asian ranking and this year it includes 450 regional universities.

At Latvian level, the employer reputation of RTU has been most highly evaluated, placing the university on the 27th position. RTU ranked up both in this position and in four other criteria – academic reputation, international student ratio, international research network and papers per faculty.

Universities have been evaluated in the ranking according to ten criteria – academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty student ratio, faculty staff with PhD, level of citation per paper, papers per faculty, international research network, international faculty ratio, international students ratio and web impact.

This year five more universities from the Latvian ranking were included – the University of Latvia (ranked the 40th), Riga Stradins University (ranked the 119th), Daugavpils University and Latvia University of Agriculture (ranked the 241st –250th) and Transport and Telecommunication Institute (ranked the 301st – 350th).

Out of the Baltic Universities, the University of Tartu has been evaluated the highest, being ranked the fourth. The Lomonosov Moscow State University is ranked the first, the Charles University from Prague, the Czech Republic, is ranked the second and Saint Petersburg State University is ranked the third.
