Short Bio:
Baiba Vērpe received Bachelor’s and Master’s degree of Architecture from Riga Technical University in 2008 and 2016, respectively. She is currently a scientific assistant, educator and a PhD student with RTU Faculty of Architecture and is working on her Thesis «Development of The Resort Architecture in Jūrmala City, Latvia» under the guidance of Dr. habil. arch. Jānis Krastiņš. Since 2006, she has been a practicing architect, including local and international experience. She is the author of scientific articles and articles in popular architectural press.
Her main scope of research interests are: architecture in Jūrmala city, Latvia, resort architecture, postwar modernism, architecture of diplomatic service and digital marketing for architects. She is an active member of DOCOMOMO Latvian group.
