Students and staff of RTU and partnering universities are provided an opportunity to participate in foreign study, lecturing or experience exchange using different exchange programmes and mobility as part of bilateral contracts realised by RTU.
The Erasmus+ programme aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernising Education, Training, and Youth work. Erasmus+ provides opportunities to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad.
Erasmus+ programme countries include applicants from EU, EEA, EETA and Turkey. RTU has more than 200 European partner universities within the Erasmus+ programme.
Admission procedure for students of ERASMUS+ programme countries
Erasmus+ partner countries include countries neighbouring the EU in regions like Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro), Eastern Partnership Countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Territory of Ukraine as recognised by international law), South-Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia) and the Russian Federation. List of Universities having signed an Inter-Institutional Agreement with RTU for the cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme.
Admission procedure for students of ERASMUS+ partner countries
RTU international cooperation network is constantly growing, and currently RTU has signed agreements with higher education establishments all over the world. Majority of these agreements include information about exchange studies, by offering students different beneficial terms for studies abroad – lower study fees, studies free of charge, free accommodation and other benefits.
Admission procedure for mobility within bilateral agreements
Not only those foreign students, whose universities have signed agreement with RTU can apply for studies at RTU, but also students from any other higher education institution abroad. At RTU online application website incomingexchange.rtu.lv students can upload their application for studies at RTU and choose the courses they want to acquire. In such cases, the tuition fee is applied according to the total amount of credit points to be acquired.
