STATUS OF A PUBLIC BENEFIT ORGANISATION
The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia granted the status of a public benefit organisation to the Development Fund (Decision No. 61 of 22 April 2005) with the operation direction – supporting education, science, culture and sport, which gives donors the right to receive a corporate income tax relief in accordance with the provisions of Section 20.1 of the Corporate Income Tax Law.
With the Decision of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia No. 148 of 26 June 2009, the Fund is granted the status of a public benefit organisation for an additional type of public benefit – supporting of sport.
REGULATIONS APPROVED BY THE SRS
The Cabinet granted a permit to RTU Development Fund pay scholarships from the financial means of the Fund without deduction of taxes. Scholarships paid in accordance with the Fund’s Regulation registered in the State Revenue Service (SRS) are exempted from taxation. The Fund has four Regulations approved by the SRS for granting scholarships.
