The mission of FEEM is to prepare internationally recognized, highly-qualified specialists, economists, managers of businesses as well as to encourage professional advancement of researchers and academic staff of the Faculty. Economists, managers, real estate, customs and tax administration, occupational safety, marketing, logistics and other experts prepared by the Faculty are engaged in the management of economic and business processes in different spheres and the analysis of the results attained. They take up executive positions in state and municipal institutions, establishments, companies, non-governmental, international and multinational organisations. FEEM students learn how to research and analyze different economy and business related issues – microeconomic and macroeconomic processes, cash flow, different types of production, marketing, logistics, current trends in domestic and international trade, currency and financial policy, pricing policy, employment, personnel management, labour productivity, labour safety, real estate management, fundamentals of operation of customs, the system of tax administration, operation of the banking and financial sector, etc. Students learn the fundamentals of business operation, collect, analyze and interpret business performance indicators and master how to properly manage processes and resources to ensure their efficient utilisation. Specialists prepared by FEEM successfully work both in Latvia and abroad, they develop thorough understanding of social processes and their impact on the socio-economic environment. FEEM fosters analytical thinking and provides reliable guidelines for students’ further professional activities. FEEM graduates will always find their place in life. |
