RTU FEEM and RBS have been highly appreciated in Eduniversal ranking

Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management (FEEM) and Riga Business School (RBS) of Riga Technical University (RTU) have been highly valued in Eduniversal Business Schools Ranking, for the first time ranking in the 4 palms league that represents Top business schools with significant international influence in business and management education. Overall ranking consists of five palms leagues. Until now, RTU was in the 3 palms league.

RTU received the acknowledgement of being awarded 4 palms in the 9th Eduniversal World Convention which was held at Curtin University, Perth, Australia, from 28 November to 1 December and which was attended by RTU rector academician Leonīds Ribickis, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Inga Lapiņa and Director of the Quality Management and Record Management Department of RTU Juris Iljins.

RTU FEEM and RBS are ranked high – in the 4 palms league, which includes 200 business schools with excellent evaluation and significant international influence, moving one league up compared with last year’s rating and affirming the progress of RTU strategic priority execution.

The most influential among the business schools in Eduniversal 5 palms league are Harvard Business School, Yale School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.

The 9th Eduniversal convention focussed on issues of internationalization of higher education and innovation in business and management education. L. Ribickis participated in the panel discussion “The Internationalisation of Education: The Export of Education and its Value of National and Regional Economies”. During the discussion, RTU rector shared his experience in building a modern, internationally recognized and competitive university, by attracting foreign students, by constantly raising international awareness of the quality of studies and research results, focusing on internationalisation as the RTU strategic priority, as well as mentioning the challenges that the university faces in the process of international cooperation.

Eduniversal is a ranking and rating business by the French rating agency and consulting company SMBG. It is an organization that specializes in higher education and vocational orientation. Every year, it assesses 1,000 best universities and business schools of more than 150 countries; it also assesses Master programs on a global scale, including 4,000 Master and MBA programs with specialization in 30 different fields. Part of the overall assessment consists of Deans vote representing 1000 best universities and business schools in 154 countries.

.Eduniversal aims to create a list of the world’s best higher education institutions in order to help students to choose the most appropriate world universities and business schools on the basis of recommendations from recognized educational experts. Besides that, Eduniversal promotes international mobility of students and academic staff.

Ranking includes the best higher education institutions participating in the implementation of business and management education, of different reputation and level of ambition in nine geographical regions of the world (Far East Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa, Central Asia, Eurasia and Middle East, Latin America, Oceania, Western Europe and North America).
