At the end of 2007 with support of the Ministry of Economy of Latvia, the Riga Innovation Incubator (RII) was opened at the premises of Riga Technical University on 3 Pulka Street.

The aim of RII is to support the development of new innovative and technology-oriented enterprises in Riga, by providing them with the necessary infrastructure and support instruments, as well as helping existing enterprises to realize their innovative ideas and develop new products.

New enterprises are being offered complex solutions to aid in the process of developing innovative ideas and new technologies into actual products and services with a high added value.
Unfortunately, currently RII is not receiving financial support from the state, therefore its activities are quite limited. At the moment we can offer office premises and small production areas for rent, as well as secretariat services and meeting rooms.

At the beginning of 2010 the RTU Student Incubator started operating at the premises of RII, giving an opportunity to 5 RTU students to implement their business ideas.  The Student Incubator provides office premises and meeting rooms as well as basic consultancy services in entrepreneurship.
